Meditation
Meditation is holding the mind or attention without breaking the concentration upon one point, thing, or subject. Meditation in its perfect ultimate is that in bringing the mind to such a concentration on one thing, it is not aware of one's surroundings - it neither sees, feels it physical environment. I cannot stress enough the benefits and importance of the quiet solitude of meditation. Silence is the perfect balance of Spirit, Soul, Mind, and Body. It is the place where the individual and the Higher Self come together in perfect harmony. Spirit to Spirit, creating calm waters (emotions) and reflecting that calmness in the physical. It is the place where we listen to what Father/Mother Light or Mother Earth has to say. We cannot understand the mind of our Celestial Parents if the only thing we listen to is our own thoughts. The spiritual solitude of meditation is the place where we receive intuitive information for the benefit of healing others, Mother Earth, ourselves or the whole of mankind and blessing all things visible and invisible. Silence is important because it is where we sense the nuances of the energy of something. We ‘hear’ what our physical ears cannot or do not. There is more truth in Silence than all of words put together. Silence does not lie. In the Silence, the Great Father and Mother and the individual dwell heart to heart in the inmost being space.
Your personal sacred space is a place where you meet your real Self and through that Self meets God. It is a place where you, just for a time, withdraw from the physical world and commune with the spiritual one. Your sacred meditation space can be anywhere you like, as long as it is quiet, comfortable and conducive to mental tranquility and harmony. Although a physical space is desirable and is conducive to the expression of Peace and a Meditative state of mind, it is not necessary, and is secondary to the eternal Sacred Space of the heart.
Meditation and the Silence is a time to think about the All Father/Mother, and the Oneness of all things. It is a time for Gratitude, and Blessing our Spiritual Parents, Mother Earth and all our relations with Peace, Love and well-being. It is a time to think about life, why we are here and what we can do to help the whole, who we are, who we are not. It is a time for meditation on our spiritual growth so we may become like our Beautiful Father and Mother. Meditating on these things, brings about growth within ourselves and keeps us connected with the Source of all life. When we forget these things, we become mechanical, too technologically minded. We stop caring for the living, growing things. Then we stop caring for each other.
All the great Masters, Holy Ones, Sages and those who seek an inward path to spirituality have sacred places where they go to be alone, whether a garden, a mountain top, into the mountains or under a tree, they sought the spiritual solitude of silence. To listen, to ask for help on behalf of others in the Universe and invisible realms, receive words of Wisdom, Insight or Illumination.Creating a sacred or special place helps to create the inner sacred space. Creating a sacred space and communion, spirit to spirit, heart to heart with the One greater than ourselves. It is not only creating a Sacred Space, it is BEING a Sacred Space.
Meditation increases awareness and intuitive abilities.
