First, I would like to say that Reiki is not a religion. It has no dogma and there is nothing  to believe in for it to work. I don't have to have faith in it and the client doesn't have to  have faith in for it to work. The Reiki principles are non-violent, compassionate ideals.  They do not violate a person's religion or religious ethics. Reiki compliments all belief systems and religions. However, if I had to give Reiki a religion, it would be the Religion of Love because Reiki IS Love.

Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today I will do my work honestly. Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.

Why I charge for Reiki
I know of a gifted healer who was interested in becoming a Reiki Practitioner that was turned down by a Reiki Master because of their religion.  As a Reiki Master/Teacher/Healer, this is very distressing to me. There is absolutely no room for this kind of attitude.  This is a prejudice, and all truly spiritual people and organizations have always taught and walked a path of non-judgement.  If you are a spiritual person, there will be love and compassion evidenced by your actions.  As Reiki Teachers and Healers, let us remember and walk in our own principles. There is nothing more dangerous than trying to walk a straight path with crooked feet.
