If you want to heal the body, you must
first heal the mind.

(Thank you, Chyenne.)

There are a lot of Reiki websites out there. I wanted to do something different - still maintaining the history, tradition and integrity of the Usui system, and keeping this technique as beautiful and simple as it is. There are many tools, information and techniques to help one increase concentrated focus, (and I do teach them in my classes), increasing one's own energy and power, and at the same time I see the simplicity and beauty of Usui Reiki getting lost in some of the commercialization of Reiki that is coming forth. We are evolving and changing with the times, but let us not forget the beauty of simple, loving touch with healing intent toward the client and letting Reiki do what it knows to do.

Once you receive an attunement to the Reiki energy, all you have to do is have the intent for Reiki to flow and the Reiki flows with its own intelligent, spiritually guided energy along with your focused intent.

Along with the traditional information on Reiki, I will incorporate what I know by experience. I would like to keep this website simple, yet informative.

About theWindhorse Reiki Name
Prayer flags are strung throughout the Himalayas & the world, creating an atmosphere of peace, serenity, and hope wherever they are flown. Tibet Prayer Flags are traditionally hung outside temples, at holy sites, crossroads, over bridges, roof-tops, atop mountain summits or anywhere open, where the prayers may meet the wind. Prayer flags are said to invoke compassion, harmony, peace, wisdom, and strength.
It is said when the wind blows the prayer flags sound like thundering horses carrying prayers to heaven on the wings of the wind.
Whenever I am in a quandary about something, I sit on the shoreline of the lake where I live and wait for the answer to come. I was in such a quandary about what to name my Reiki practice. On one such day, the Wind came and took the form of
a horse, running, circling,
spiraling all around me. Windhorse.
And so it is.
Reiki creates healing, a sense of well-being of peace, serenity and hope.
The lotus flower in the heart of Windhorse symbolizes the love, purity and compassion of the energy itself.
